What can I do to make myself more competitive for warrant officer (153A) selection?

I'm having trouble getting selected for the warrant officer board (153A). Once I put my packet together I had it looked over by my platoon sergeant (who submitted a packet and got selected), platoon leader, first sergeant, the SWO and other WOs. So my chances for errors were non existent, I had a CW5 brigade standardization officer recommend me, my resume was very well written, ERB was on point, amazing NCOERs, combat experience, leadership experience, PT score was a 290, college, and just the best I could possibly do.
I applied for 2 different boards and still didn't get selected with all that I gave them. It's frustrating not being told why my packet is competitive but not enough. I will apply a third time. The only the I can see that would hurt my packet is my sift score (42).
What can I do to make myself more competitive? Do I need more letters of recommendation? Is it because I've only been in 6 years? I wouldn't think so because I see privates and specialist getting selected.

The 42 is hurting you now that the scores are posted for the board to as they used to NOT be visible, branch screened the packet and deemed you worthy to compete. If all the metrics are correct, it is only a matter of time for you to get picked up, but then there is what does your SWO LOR say? Is it repetitive of what is already in your file or does it go into knowing who you are and the quality of the applicant you are? How old are you and how much time do you have left to apply? Remember that the board is made up of NON_aviators and Aviation sends two extra warrants just to vote WOC packets for flight school. You have obviously moved fast wearing SSG stripes in the short time in the service. Make sure to not overdress your packet, and if you wish to share it for a review, look me up on the global and send it may way for a critique in full.

The SWO that recommend me was very hesitant to give me a letter (as expected). I continued to visit his office and build that relationship. Later on he had meetings with my platoon sergeant, platoon leader and commander to get their perspective of who I am. In the end he liked what they had to say and gave me his recommendation. His letter did include both his perspective of me and what my chain of command had to say. I'm only 25 years old and still have plenty of time to apply. Im taking a little bit more time with this packet before I apply again.

SSG Gutierrez if you would like you can also look me up on global and send me your packet. I am more than happy to take a look and also have fellow senior Warrants I work with in the aviation community look at it and see if there is anything we can identify that you might need to clean up on the packet. Or if we see anything glaring that would cause you to not be selected. If Mr Baker is looking at your packet that may be all the help you need.

Whew! Based on your post, it does seem unusual..... Back in my day, a lot was based on the needs of the service, and they were focused on "warm bodies". Hang in there, and keep looking into improving your "footprint" in whatever way you can. Maintaining a positive attitude and shear determination is a huge "plus" in my book. There has been a recent push to strengthen our military of late, which could bode favorably for you.

Thanks for the encouragement! I will continue to pursue my goals of being an aviator. I hope to join your ranks someday.

As someone who has seen an actual WOC board in action I can share that there are only a few things that are looked at. For professional discreteness in this forum I ask you to verify there is nothing in your NCOER's or ERB/ photo that would cause someone with limited time to get to know you to hesitate to say yes.

All my NCOER's show nothing but progression, my ERB matches my NCOER's, the only thought that comes to mind is in my second board I was deployed and didn't have a DA photo. The guidance was to take a picture in ACU. I had to do that because I had just made staff sergeant and was unable to get a DA photo.
