I served with several former Marine NCO's when I was an infantry NCO myself. They adapted well to the Army. While infantry units are very similar in both branches, there are differences. Improvise, adapt, and overcome! You should do well.

That's exactly what I've been hearing through word of mouth and different blogs I come across. I'll be honest it's a weird nervous feeling of leaving the Corps. I just need to get my mindset straight and I think I'll do just fine. Thanks for your encouragement.

You will need to check with the nearest Army recruiter. There are specific regulations/guidance regarding prior service accessions - USAREC’s Business Rules for example; and are revised frequently based on the service’s need.

Thank you sir for your insight. I've spoken with one here on Okinawa. I've got my DD 368 prepped and ready to be signed off on my my CO.

I did. I got out of the Marines completely. Started school and joined Army ROTC. That wasn't preplanned. It just turned out that way but it worked out.

Very nice, life has a crazy way of throwing curve balls and inevitabley having use choose between the fork in the road. Hope things are working out for you.

Sgt (Join to see) - Yeah, I've seen my fair share of curveballs. But even though it hasn't gone like I would have imagined, I can't complain. Hope everything works out for you too.
