I'm not going to lie. One of my biggest weaknesses is PRT. Not actual PT but the PRT manual. I need to dig through it. I'm going to read it cover to cover now that I'm not a 1SG anymore and I need to lead PT rather than delegating it out.

However, I'm new to my position and we got a new 1SG that wants a PT plan ASAP. I haven't had a chance to dig through yet.

Does anyone have a PRT plan used to get people safely back in shape after a deployment?

For example there used to be a thing before PRT became mandatory called 'pushing for points' or something that was a PT plan to get people to get a 300. But now it's not PRT.

Anyone have anything like this?

I'm on global [login to see]

I'd be very appreciative. I figure if anyone has something it would be this place. If not I'm going to find that pushing for points and try to convert it to PRT.

SFC Jones, there is a suggested training plan for the reset phase in FM 7-22, table 5-10.

SFC Jones,

We all know as soon as we come up with a plan that is reliable and effective, the game changes allover again, the regulation has gone through a myriad of changes in the last decade alone.

While I know the comments will flow for what I am about to say it is true and worked. If you can maintain a regular regiment while deployed it makes the transition back to garrison PT much easier, even with mission and job requirements, I found ways to keep my Soldiers engaged in regular PT and kept it fun and interesting so that it wasn't a chore or drag on potential down time for them either.

Now for when you are unable and need to reintegrate into the post-deployment phase, just go back to basics, think of when everyone came in, the DSs had to get everyone into shape during basic and prepare them for regular Army upon graduation. Go back to doing what was done in boot camp, the similar exercises and routines along with the repetitiveness, it may sound like a great task, but it can be done and also produce very good results, some even better than what you may have done prior to deploying in the first place.

Good luck.

Thanks man, I'm utterly swamped right now and didn't have much time to dig through to complete this month's request on a short suspense...much appreciated.
