The article below indicates that at least 12000 "foreign" troops will stay in country, of course the agreement was sign by the US and Afghan governments so I wonder who the 12000 will be? (sarcasm)

I suspect that most of those troops will be Spec Ops/War, aviation, support and intel assets. I'm ok with that- and I'm hoping "foreign troops" are NOT all US. The Afghans still need help. Just my guess.

14 years is a long time. So much sacrifice and so much blood spilt. Too much of it has belonged to our brave service members. I never served in Afghanistan. We hear about the "green on blue" ("friendly" Afghan troops turning on NATO troops) attacks and it makes me insane. Does anyone see a way to get us out of there in a way that honors the hard work accomplished and sacrifices made by our armed forces?

A way to get out no, not sure that there is one and gone are the days of occupying (think Germany) after a conflict to stabilize a region.
