I'm truly concerned as I find more Junior Enlisted/Drilling Reservists are failing the background and drug screens for Civilian Employment. Where are the random drug screens?, are we as Senior Leaders explaining the consenquences of these behaviors? Many Junior Enlisted/Active Drilling are failing drug screens. Many Junior Enlisted/Active Drilling are failing background checks due to civil/criminal activities while they are serving. This is causing Employers to take caution and affecting the overall view of National Guard and Reserve Units.

Not sure where you are getting your info from. How do you know they are failing? Are they telling you? I have to test a percentage of my unit every quarter per Army Reserve Command policy. I find it hard to not get tested at least once a quarter or more?

As an employer, trust me I know. It's very concerning, and disappointing to work very closley with these great young men and women, just to find out they are being DQ'd for a positive drug test and/or a criminal activity.. It's not many, but enough to share.
