Just wondering how long I would have tricare for? Thank you.

To make it easier on yourself, instead of asking everyone here, I would ask your unit administrator at your current National Guard unit. They should be able to answer your question. Just my opinion though; Basic and AIT is considered to be "active duty." Once you return to "reserve" status, unless I'm wrong, your Tricare ends.

You can get Tricare in the Guard. I had it for may family and it cost a dirt cheap $203 a month. I’m not sure but I think it is much cheaper for a single soldier. Go to the Tricare site and you can either sign up or it will tell you how to do it. It is better and cheaper than ANY insurance you can get through a civilian provider.
