Hey man I just got back in after a 10 year break with an RE3. Like everyone said, a good recruiter, but I will add that now is the time. The “trump flood gates” are opened. Also if you don’t get the answer you want from one recruiter then go to another.

Hey SPC, what did you get your waiver for? & how long did you wait since you got discharged?
if you don't mind me asking.

SPC (Join to see) - I also received a hardship discharge 5 years ago with an RE 3 honorable discharge. I was just wondering if it was possible to re enlist with a hardship discharge. Do you think it would be possible now?

You'll get lots of good answers here...none of which will be as good as you picking up a phone and talking to a current recruiter.

SPC Drew Sundblad my experience has been that you need to get a waiver to go to MEPS, who will then state that you need a waiver from NGB/Reserves SG to enter service. It can be a LONG process. You will need ALL of your med records from the day you went in, to today (to include any PEB/MEB you went through).
A kickass recruiter is the best tool. ESPECIALLY if they are a bulldog - I know the MSgt I have working for me it. She has gone to MEPS & talked to the CMO direct, and the same for NGB.
