After being out a year, will I have to go to MEPS again if I am going from Active to Guard?

I got out of Active Army almost a year ago. I'm considering going Guard and wondering if anyone knows what the process will be. Will I have to go to MEPS again?

Unless you are IRR, you will. Any time you're completely out, you have to go back.

Then you should be fine. Call your local Guard or Reserve retention NCO for your HOR and start the process

There is also a possibility of having to go back through basic after being out for a long period. Definitely ask a recruiter if it would be required because going back is often a deal breaker for some
