Seems as if todays Army personnel are so easily offended by the smallest of things from Privates being called Private to having to have even the smallest of details explained using the 5 W's.

This isn't confined to just young Soldiers, but seems to infect every pay grade from E-1 through O-6 regardless of time in rank or service. It just seems easier to blame the junior enlisted (E-1 through E-3) as they haven't acquired substantial rank/time in service. But I've noticed a lot of my seniors and peers have became infected with this illness.

I'm not talking about being offended by the racist jokes, sexual innuendo/harassment, explaining how a DA-6 works to a new Soldier just arriving from AIT or other major issues plaguing the armed forces today. I'm referring to personnel getting butt hurt from being called POG/POUGE, REMF, FOBBIT etc. or having to have it explained to them why we have to conduct maintenance on our equipment and other mundane daily activities that make up a normal duty day.

I admit that there are things that offend me (being micro-managed, sitting in the office until 1800 or later when S-1,2,3,4 and 6 close for business about 1630 and battalion wants something done immediately that can wait until the next business day etc.)

But come on folks, if you're a SSG/SFC/MSG for example and get butt hurt by being called Sergeant. Or you're an admin clerk and being called a REMF/FOBBIT/POG causes your panties to bunch up and sends you running to EO faster than Usain Bolt can run the 400m either retire, ETS, get promoted or grow a spine.

Hooah, Sergeant. Easily offended people should do more pushups.
You said it all, so I'll just vote you up.
