I know this is a big ask. But if you are a Veteran near a Military Post. I ask that you help our Active Duty personnel by taking in their kids while they continue to Hold the line in defense of our Nation. There might be some parents who wont be able to send their kids in due to the shutdown. This ask is big, and somewhat seem burdenous. But I also believe in our spirit of Community. Esprite de corps, so if you can take their kids in for a day. That will show our government and citizens that we support our Brothers and Sisters in arms.

Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

If you are in Orlando and need a sitter for the week feel free to ask.

Rest assured that y'all WILL get paid. Back pay in the worst case. Know that we're behind you, we've been through it before and you will get through it. Both of my sons are active duty as well, and while I think this whole thing is crap, they, and you will survive.
Hang in there.

Thank you for your service and as well a your Son's. I understand that back pay is always good. And that surviving it won't be a problem. But I was asking in case it went longer. I have good friends who put their kids thru on post daycare. With the shutdown those places were down. So I'm sure they were relived knowing it ended in a few days rather then months.
Aloha.

SPC Eddie "Nemo" Aiumu - I understand. There are so many troops that are affected that I guess you almost have to "adopt" a family or two if they really need the help. Huge problem. Thanks for being concerned. I wish our folks in Congress shared your thoughts.

I have 3 son's that are Active duty (Army). They were given information about the shutdown and it's status. It was mentioned that they will certainly be paid back/retroactive pay missed out on/due.

Thank you for your Service and Son's services as well. I do understand that they were informed. However, back pay is always awesome. But the moment I was asking was if the shutdown was longer for instance a month or two. And I want to find ways we can support our troops. I'm very thankful that it didn't last long.
