I am a single soldier with joint custody of my son. I pay child support , I am OCONUS in Hawaii but I live in the barracks.how am I supposed to honor my custody agreement besides the monetary factor?
I've talked to my chain of command and nothing proactive are productive has been done in search for the answers. They seem to go more so by what they've heard from other people.

Just saw this queston, not sure why no one has answered it. I'm stationed in Hawaii, so please call/text me if you still need assistance [login to see] ). You should be getting BAH-DIFF, I don't know the details of your custody agreement so I can't offer much advice. I do have a friend who is in the same situation so I'll discuss your situation with him and see what he can offer. I honestly think you have to bite the bullet when it comes to visits and their related expenses.

As far as living in the barracks goes, being as you do not have majority custody you still have to reside in the barracks which is my understanding of the problem. Due to the fact that you live in the barracks your child is unable to come visit because dependants are not authorized in the barracks. I have dealt with this issue when I was in Hawaii and I am aware of a few ways to resolve said situation.if you wish to contact me further on this matter my email is [login to see] .mil.
