I was in School when I called up for school for the Air Guard. I was attending school on the GI Bill and had to drop classes because of my orders.

Been Fighting the VA over this for over 6 months now.

Anyone had an experience like this?

Find a Veterans Service Organization and talk to their Service Officer. You have limited time to deal with this. If you can't find a Service Officer - contact me here.

John... Does your school have a VA rep? Most schools do and they may be able to assist, depending on what the problem is. I may be able to give more insight or assistance if you want to send me an email with the specifics. My email address is [login to see]

School basically left me out to dry. Not very happy with the whole situation. They changed my enrollment status 3 times in 6 months for the same semester. I went from owing 4k to 300$ to 3k. I am currently fighting my way through all the paperwork. Getting in contact with the VA or just asking a simple question is painful. And I was told by the VA they can't advise me on how to correct this.

The VA has been more helpful than the school.
