I have to say that I agree with this article. I know there have been many changes to the Professional Military Education (PME) in recent years, but theoretically they make sense.
SSD1 is suppose to get you ready for WLC, SSD2 gets you ready for ALC and so forth. Not to discredit any Master Sergeants in the Army, but I feel especially on the Reserve side it is good to have a class even if it's a refresher class to enhance the skills and knowledge of our Senior Leaders in the Army. The army is constantly changing and sending out Senior Leaders to a class to me is a good idea.
