Did anyone have an M16 with Mattel stamped on the magazine well?

My first M16 A1, issued at Ft Sill did. One of the editors from American Rifleman says they don't exist. He wanted pictures, I told him that he should submit a FOIA for the Armory records. I was too busy cleaning it not taking snapshots.
