How hard is it for a 12N to go Airborne once I get to my unit after finishing AIT?

Voice your desire to go. It won’t happen right away, there is a bit of proving you have to do. The unit will need it’s justification for A. Losing you for training, B. Betting on your succeeding C. Does it correspond with their METL - can they justify losing you for training, etc. all in all, the more junior you are, the easier it is to send you. Make it known in your face to face with your leadership, and in your monthly counselings

For one you have to pass PT test of course, then pass your airborne physical, which you could get at your local Soldier Clinic. Then you need a Da 4187 sign by your Commander asking to attend Airborne Training, the hard part is now the Army won’t send you to Airborne unless you go to AB units, unless your unit is ok with loosing you to an AB unit then should be no issue then. Confirm that with your 1st line supervisor ask him to ask higher.
