I am currently in a unit that I am not MOS qualified in, however I am MOS qualified as a 12B Combat Engineer. They refuse to send me to MOS school for 31B or to Warrior Leader Course. They are holding back my career...do you think that is fair since WLC isn't based on a specific MOS?

If there are soldiers in your unit that still need to go to WLC, are MOS qualified, and have completed SSD1, then I do believe they should go before you. If not then I don't see a reason not to send you if a slot is available.

Yes, I do, SSG(P) (Join to see). On the surface it sounds very unfair to me. And it sounds like the system and artificial (?) rules may be holding you back. Have you gone up the chain of command or your NCO support chain to discuss this situation?

I do not see eye to eye with my NCO support chain. And I'm relatively new to the unit. I've only been in it since August, but so far they are treating me like crap. I'm currently looking for a new unit. All I want is a unit that will send me to training so that I can advance my career.
