Is the "anonymous" email sent to the JFK Warfare Center an issue that needs to be reviewed Army-wide?

CW2 Ryan Sweesy, Chief, I have seen open letters like this before. It was common when COL Hackworth had his webpage. Soldiers for the Truth, for Soldiers to sound off about the lack of standards within their organizations. As for the second part of the question, I doubt the Army will do much soul searching. Take your unit for example. Could it honestly roll out in 96 hrs? Are all the maintenance/ supply reports correct? Are Standards routinely enforced? I do agree that there is always a benefit of being a learning organization.

CW2 (Join to see), reviewing something like this is always a good idea. We should always question the standards and performance measures in place to ensure we are meeting the mission of quality. There is a quantity problem that also has to be solved however. I went to SFAS. Didn't make it through the 3rd week. I think they are talking about the follow-on Q-course. No idea. It's always worth it to look at this sort of thing, but we have to trust that the system in place, led by the commander, is doing its best given the demand versus quality requirements that are always competing at the organizational level.

No Chief, not sure what you see on a daily basis but there's been changes made throughout the history of the course adjusting to common sense, environment, lessons learned and needs of the force. If there are issues, this was the most unprofessional way to highlight them. Going external, public and name dropping was piss poor, there definitely was an agenda with the author.
