How long does it take for AEA code to be changed after being returned to duty by IDES?

Returned to duty determination was made on 15 November 2017. S1 told me to wait and see if the J AEA code gets taken off automatically by HRC by 1 January 2018, otherwise start a 4187 up to HRC to get it changed. It feels like my medical board is still not over because I still can’t move forward with my career... I’ve been at my duty station for five years and I’m in a practically non-promotable MOS. I’d easily be a SFC, possibly going for MSG in any other MOS. As soon as this over I’m requesting reclassification to 25D and getting a 170A packet ready.
