What should a 2LT expect from a 7th Army JMTC assignment?

I am currently an IBOLC student (11A) at Fort Benning and received my tentative duty station and unit assignment this week. I have a vague idea of what JMTC does but have no idea where a 2LT would fit into that mission.

You can expect a lot of time in the field. About 8-10 rotations a year minimum. It’s a great battalion, I just left there in August.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with NATO allied forces, both along side and against them. Just do yourself a favor and get a passport before you leave for Europe. While you don’t have a ton of time off, the unit does their best to comp the 4 days you miss from rotations.

You will go to Hohenfeds (HTA). The OPFOR in an Infantry Battalion that has an amazing mission, to prep Combat BDE’s and others for combat and peace keeping rotations around the globe. But don’t let that make you believe you will not train for and have the opportunity to serve in thos areas yourself. 1-4 Infantry has a long history of service. You will be a better officer having had the opportunity to lead the Soldiers of this great Battalion. Thank you for your service.

Sir you would more then likely go down to the OPFOR BN which is located in HTA.
