The UCMJ (Federal Regulations) has been around for a long time with articles added and taken away. Do you think articles of the UCMJ should be added or deleted? What would they be and what do you propose?

I've always thought Article 125 is judicial overreach. What two consenting adults do in private is not the military's business. It is also vague in that "unnatural carnal copulation with another person" is very subjective.

They work pretty well. Hypothetical questions like this are like a@@holes, and they really do nothing to help you qualify in your warfare area. Focus on things that will keep you and your sailors safe. And DAMMIT! You have me agreeing with Capt Gregory Prickett today, now all I need is frogs falling out of the sky.....

LTJG (Join to see) - I understand that, and applaud the desire to learn... However, as a former Naval Officer, I would argue that a young Naval Officer such as yourself should devote every waking moment to learning your craft. We have had too many sailors pay the ultimate price because the officers appointed over them did not know what they were doing. I am not talking about an arcane little nugget, rather they didn't understand the basics of seamanship! I realize I am an old"er" dog, and you may be the best Naval Officer since JPJ for all I know, but I just know that the more you can cram in now before you get to the fleet, the better off you will be. You can be the smartest person, too, and can handle multiple things, but I can't tell from the confines of RP. Hope you don't get bent out of shape by what I have said, but we old dogs have a duty to make sure tough lessons we have learned don't need to be re-learned!

The one on consensual sodomy was already changed, so... Nothing I can think of.
