I know if you are medically retired and get severance pay your VA disability payments are offset by this. If a Soldier gets involuntarily separated by QSP and gets severance pay are your VA disability payments offset by this as well?

I have not heard of anyone dealing with this as of yet, but with all the budget cuts and changes towards retirement pensions it could be a new attack being utilized on our benefits. I would check with the VA on a generalized question and not give any personal details.

Yeah, after seeing how they didn't even respect retirees' cola by grandfathering them in I'm not counting on anything. I am just trying to get a feel for how bad I'm going to be hurting until I find another job in this fine economy.
