I recently received orders to Drum for just after the holidays and was wondering what general information I could get about what it's like there (living conditions, morale, special events and available activities, etc.) Also, I don't know what unit I am going to yet, but I'm wondering how 59th Chem is, and what other options there are for a 74D besides sitting in a CBRN cage. Thank you for any info.

SSG (Join to see),

Check out Chemical Dragon on Facebook. The admin is 1SG Gamio.

It's a really good resource for you 74D's. Odds are good you can touch base with a fellow Chem-Dawg who is currently stationed there and get all the info you need for a smooth PCS.

Thank you SSG Taylor. I use the Chemical Dragon website constantly, I just didn't think to look at the facebook page lol. On a side note, I actually had 1SG Gamio as my Division IG Inspector multiple times back when he was a SFC here at Fort Riley. Most knowledgeable 74D I've ever met lol.

I knew him way back in 71st Chem when he first became an E-5. Stand up individual with unmatched professionalism.
