What do you think of CSM Dailey selected as the new Sergeant Major of the Army?

CSM Daniel A. Dailey has been selected to become the 15th SMA as of January 30th, 2015. Dailey is currently the command sergeant major for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. He is an Infantryman with over 33 years of service and 5 combat deployments with many distinguished awards including Ranger Tab, EIB, CIB, The Order of Saint Maurice (Centurion), and is a member of the Audie Murphy Club.

He looks sharp, and with his background he should have a exciting assignment and if I can help in anyway, I'm available

He was my Brigade CSM (3 BDE 4th ID);at Fort Carson. I worked in the Brigade TOC with him. When I was injured during that deployment he took care of me and my guys. I ran in to him again a few years ago and took a ride in a Blackhawk with him in Iraq after I retired. I respect the hell out of him!

The Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA) is a unique non-commissioned rank and position of office in the United States Army. He is not a CSM.
To answer your question however, I believe SMA Dailey will do great things over the next few years. In what we have seen so far he leads from the front and truly cares about Soldiers.
