You would have to find an Army recruiter who is willing to put in the paperwork necessary for an RE 3 code. If he gets the go from his command, you would have to write a detailed letter of what exactly happened and why you were discharged from service. From that step you will have to get approved by the ASO (Accession Suitability Office) since it was a discharge related to misconduct. Depending on them if you are approved and not denied they would forward your packet up to the Army Recruiting Office and they would have the final say so on whether they will accept you back in or not. Good luck!

That’s a sticky issue. From my understanding that’s not one of my those kind of things that they normally waiver. But, your best bet is to ask a recruiter and have them give you more so a definitive answer. Good luck! SPC Josh Latu

Anything is possible, likely is a different story. Anytime you have any other but squeaky clean RE code it will take waivers. These regs change constantly based on funding, strength size, etc. Only recruiter is current on this and will have the paperwork necessary to start.

Possibly.
Call a Recruiter. It's...complicated, involves a lot of PII you shouldn't be giving out to random strangers on the internet, and the regulations are subject to change sporadically.
Only one who can help you is a Recruiter. Scary statement, right?

SGT Sean Goodrow that is one of scariest statements I think I have ever read. It's right up there with "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
