Have you gotten your State promotion orders? If so, you're technically already a 1LT awaiting recognition by the Federal government. As long as your Federal orders are dated to align with your State's, then yes - you'll already have that much TIR. If it all works out the way it looks like it will, I'll be dropping my CPT packet right after I pin 1LT.

Nice thanks for the info! February 2016 is when my state orders kicked in. S1 didn't properly file the paperwork until August of last year though. I'm already looking into different captain career course options.

On the bright side, imagine all the backpay you'll get from over a year of drilling and AT! :-D

just remember 2LT to 1LT is the ONLY promotion you'll get back pay for.

Your DOR will be what's on your FEDREC. My DOR to 1LT was what was on my FEDREC orders, NOT state orders. I am currently waiting on FEDREC for CPT, been waiting 9 months.

So your FEDREC wasn't back dated to when the state recognized you as a 1st? This means that waiting for the FEDRECs to come in is literally hurting my future promotion time?

Unfortunately no. Why only 6 years before you retire?
