Pretty limited or non-existent "additional" resources for what we are looking for. I already know how to "source" discounts on materials, etc; saving money on merchant processing is an absolute joke, no one can beat Square-up for CC processing with no monthly fees; They also recommend Shopify for e-commerce, 3D Cart is far better (I have used both). The rest of the "products/solutions" are not useful to us. Long story Short....not at all impressed with Veterans Leverage and what they "offer" us as a Veteran Owned business. Certainly nothing there of much use for raising capital or gain investors, which was the original questions.

Try to find Angel Investors in your area, in addition to those organizations mentioned before, they may want to be part of a VOB. Kickstarter or crowd funding could be other options.
When dealing with real investors, a solid business plan will be a must.

Not Veteran specific advice, however, one might look into Kickstarter or Patreon. Not only a good way to gain capital, it also gives your consumer a sense of ownership in your brand. Of course, these platforms might not be appropriate for all products or services.
