So, my son, has career day coming up, and he was thinking about wearing his ACU he got back at SJNMA (a JROTC military school) but we are both scared he might get in trouble for breaking some law about impersonating the military. It has no US Army or similar identification on it, no flag, just a camo top and bottom with boots and a cap.

It is no different then going to a military surplus store and getting the clothing and wearing it. Hunters do this all the time. As long as your son is not trying to represent himself as a currently serving member of the Uniformed Services, or trying to use the clothing to gain some sort of favor (military discounts, for example) he is fine.
