It doesn't happen often and this place is an excellent forum for military personnel to seek quittance and understanding, but.....
I've come across a few questions, statements and comments that have caused me some concern, not many, but still a few that have given me some pause. It is one thing to be a member of this site in a Veterans status and say what you like, but there are many of us here who are currently serving who must keep that aspect in mind. There are ways to ask questions or seek guidance to touchy subjects that can be done tactfully here. There are also some topics that a military member needs to remember to tread lightly and not make statements that lean towards a tone of slander, libel or outright insubordination.
Im not here to be the RallyPoint Nazi or anything but I just want to caution those who may have this site confused with another that they can post to anonymously.
Remember that if you are making statements as a currently serving military member that you can be held accountable for those statements. I just wanted to throw out a reminder...you just can't say what you like here, or anywhere for that matter. Use this place professionally and don't make any statements that you wouldn't make in person, in uniform, in front of your superiors, and you'll keep yourself on the right side of things.
Am I off track here? Any JAG officers have any insight? Ready...Set...Go!

I know that 98% of us here feel the same. If I wanted a place to talk garbage and listen to it with a bunch of civilians who know nothing past the top of their noses, I'd be on Facebook. I expect much more from this place and appreciate the professional atmosphere and common respect we all have here.

1ST Archer...you are 100% correct in your assessment and statement. I have, in a number of responses, replied to the poster that this is a PROFESSIONAL forum and decorum must be followed. Nevertheless, there are those few who believe they are on Facebook or some other "loose" social media and give out with gross profanity. Question, is there a feature available in/on RallyPoint to report such vacuous commentary? Anyone? I too have no wish to be perceived as the RP "Sheriff of the sidewalk," but I want to be comfortable here and not have to wade through verbal garbage.

MSG Archer, certainly so...particularly for active duty folk. It may be a public forum but it is a closed forum with limited access.
