Yes, you can. Assuming you are a Vet, you can request a new account- go through the "Non Government/Family" link, and register.

I'm with David Thomas on this one. Why not just use your benefits to go get a degree from a university?

Degrees from universities, taking classes, costs money. Which GI Bill/TA doesn't always completely cover.

It's also slower.

I finished my Bachelors in three semesters, from a brick and mortar school. Through a full course load...and doing CLEP and JKO courses on the side to slog through the very common bullshit elective credit requirements. Finished my Masters in half the normal time as well.

Diploma's all that counts in the end...so if you can get there in half the time with half the cost, why not do it?

The degree path is what I am after. However, if I use my VR&E through the VA, in order to get the housing allowance, I have to go Full Time. Supporting a Family of 6 on Part time work hours with full time housing allowance isn't gonna happen. Lol.. just looking to help cut back on time, so I can work full time, go to school part time, and get the degree in the same amount of time! Make sense? I appreciate all the feed back though.

I do plan to! However, I have to support my family of 6 which requires LONG HOURS at work. lol. Anything to help mitigate some of the requirements is all I am after!

SGT Aaron P. - I totally understand. I didn't get much in the way of college credit from my 9 years of service. I think they gave me something like 13 credits. Take a look at American Military University. I did my Masters through them and it was totally manageable juggling my career and school.
