SGM (Join to see) To expand on my previous statement, I remember donning chemcial warfare gear in the 80s. Then we had the almost useless gas masks meant for tear gas and admittedly the gear was regarded as substandard. But even with the right gear one needs training, practice and more training. Not just an atropine injector and a charcoal jacket. I know things are better now but knowing what I knew then, we are not ready for that.

Generally NO! The average America is absolutely Too Complacent. Many communities are getting on the ball; however, we, as a Nation, have a ways to go! Get Smart, and be Quick About It!

Fully agree and I would take it one step further and say that the average American has his/her head in the sand. I watch many people go about life everyday seemingly without one iota of concern about the world around them. They think that 'it' will never happen here, only half way around the world.
