I am a single soldier who is leaving for BOLC, but I am only a co-signer on our apartment lease. Will that cause an issue with receiving BAH?

2LT (Join to see) as long as you are not being required to live on post in some kind of BOLC billets- then you will automatically get BAH in your situation. You no longer need to show any proof of where you live, etc. Since you already know that you are not living on-post (I assume), then you should expect to get the BAH for your location/pay grade etc. as normal.

Hey, Ma'am. Rental agreements/leases/mortgage statements, etc. are no loner required to get BAH for a single SM. The military finally realized that single persons pay to live, too! So the rate was adjusted and the supporting documents are no longer needed. However, if they still ask for it, it shouldn't be a problem as a co-signer.

Yes. BAH and BAS will automatically pay when you're on active duty orders. If your orders are 31 days or more, you get full BAH, 30 days or less you get BAH-II. But it will automatically pay once your orders are put into the pay system. Let me know if you have any other questions....I'm finance!
Good Luck!
