With China investing heavily in Africa has America found itself once again in a reactive position? While the mass immigration of Chinese people into Africa is stated as being driven by money does this pose a national security risk being that they bring with them a communist ideology. With China's new extended global reach via its soon to be fleet of aircraft carriers is Africa being developed as an economic outpost or is it something much more diabolical a second front from which to attack the Americas.

From what I've read, China's presence in Africa is first and foremost about the economics of it all, and natural resources. The military aspect could certainly be as big a threat ... I just don't see that now, but the Chinese are very patient people, so maybe it's part of their long-term strategy for the African continent.

I sure hope the best way to approach this isn't to cut another 100,000 troops.
