OK, Actually read the article before saying too much, some of these implants could save a life, maybe yours or a loved ones, some of them are just the next step for the gadgets of today. this list is not all inclusive, i am aware of a few other such initiatives going on for instance they have a contact lens that can monitor your blood sugar.

SSG Ed Mikus , I'm an advocate of this sort of technology. There are two other threads here on RP about (1) the need for dog tags and (2) tattooed dog tags. The article talks about "smart tattoos," which would eliminate the need for dog tags, and "implantables," which I think are the next best thing -- your CAC card and ID tags all in one - implanted in each Soldier.

I think it's likely still a ways off, because people will complain about privacy issues, and that may be a valid concern.
