T and U are 6 of one and a half a dozen of the other. Same job, different airframes. If you end up in a flight company though, Chinooks have more legroom and head clearance.

SSG (Join to see) - I have asked the PM Team for a list of locations we support for this contract. I am not sure what will be coming up, but it does not hurt to keep in touch and I will let you know if that location is even a possibility for these types of roles. Thanks for the response!

Either MOs is going to tell you there's is the better one. Both are good jobs, and if you get into a flight company, you will love it. My wife is a Hooker (15U) and she absolutely loves her job.

Flying is the penultimate part of being associated with one of those airframes. Work hard, play hard. Lots of missions, long hours, but at the end of the day, there's nothing better than breaking friction with the ground and taking off into the wild blue

Well as someone who has worked on both I will say there's not a whole lot of difference. My MOS was 15T but we all crosstrained with 15U. Hawks have a lot of tight areas you'll find yourself wedged in where in Chinooks you USUALLY have more room to get to what you need to reach. There's a lot more climbing involved with Chinooks. As it pertains to Flight companies... Chinooks deal with a lot of troop/cargo transport. If you go with Hawk you're able to go MEDEVAC, assault, or VIP/troop transport.
