If you have a service animal, how did you find them? My dog had just died and one of my friends who is a Virginia State Trooper told me that there was a really nice dog at the county shelter who needed a good home that he had confiscated from some people who were trying to turn him into a fighting dog. I went up to the county shelter and brought him home that very day. He has been with me for the last twelve years. Strangely enough I did not have to train him as a service dog because he all read knew what he had to do. I named him Blackie after dog I had sixty-four years ago. Maybe he is the original Blackie come back to take care of me.
