Yes you can earn more than one. Additional awards of the MO VSM are noted by service stars, not Oakleaf clusters.

Yes, but for separate instances of significant and enduring volunteer work. Check the regulation. Don't lose sight of the purpose of volunteer work while medal hunting. I saw a story in the Army Times a couple years ago about a Specialist that had the MOVSM with like three silver oak leaf clusters. At that point, you're either a fraud or you're neglecting your job so much that you should get chaptered out.

I have a MOVSM, it would have been easily obtainable to get another in the 4 years I served. The MOSVSM requires verified proof of service, I don't see how you can be committing fraud. Sounds like he'd be a soldier you'd want on your team. Were you awarded one?

It's fraud if you have sixteen of them and you've been in three years. One or two, awesome work. Sixteen is absurdly excessive.

SFC (Join to see) - I had to do a crap ton of volunteer work in order to get my MOVSM; which was nearly a requirement for the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club board; I kept volunteering afterwards and even today as a retiree I am an active volunteer for several organizations. Still enforced is volunteerism in the SAMC ranks. Do you have a reference to that Army Times photo?
