In case you're not aware of this web site, I recommend it. They send out a monthly update with links to studies and papers about (usually military) topics of strategic importance. It does take some time to read the reports, but if a body is interested in the topic, this might be just the ticket.

Received this month's e-mail today. Here are some topics in this month's SSI newsletter:

- A History of the U.S. Army Officer Corps, 1900-1990

- After the Spring: Reforming Arab Armies

- Turkey's New Regional Security Role: Implications for the United States

- Political and Socio-Economic Change: Revolutions and Their Implications for the U.S. Military

- The U.S.-India Relationship: Cross-Sector Collaboration To Promote Sustainable Development

- CBRNe: The Ongoing Challenge—Kingston Conference on International Security (KCIS 2014)

- A New Type of Great Power Relationship between the United States and China: The Military Dimension; and

- America's Strategic Debate - And Why It Matters To The Army

And here's a link to the September newsletter:

This is one of the few topics in the "military discussions" thread that I feel is actually relevant, especially to the profession of arms. Thank you for posting
