Besides scandals and mistreatment of Vets in a medical capacity... Here is a short story to contemplate:

My friend and fellow Alum from Valpo U has been out of work for some time. He is a Veteran as well. Just last month however, he gained employment at VA Headquarters in DC. I was excited for him as we were working out lunch plans in the near future. Instead, I learn yesterday, that because the VA has made a cut back on task orders, they have released a bunch of employees and my friend was one. 1 MONTH of employment!! Let's also consider how many others were just hired and the tax money wasted on background clearances, etc. because the VA can't see any farther than the front of its own nose. I welcome your thoughts, comments, and insight (if any).

Point of order. The VA getting its head of its ass is directly dependent on congress extracting its gray matter repository from its brown matter depository. Pass the forceps please!
