If the UCP camo's wear out date is in fall 2018, does that go the same for multicam uniforms?

The OCP (multi-cam) has become standard daily wear in AFSOC (Air Force Special Operations) and other units. It is also the standard uniform for overseas deployments.
With all this talk of changing uniforms among the services, I foresee that the OCP will be new standard uniform for everyone just like the BDU's were many years ago.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - When the Army went to BDU's in late 1981 we were ordered NOT to iron them. That didn't last long....They were a bitch to iron compared to the green fatigues that we all wore before the BDU's.

I may be a civilian now, but OCP is not multicam™, OEF-CP is. OCP has a slightly shifted color palette, and is missing the vertical stripe elements. For a time, the Army was issuing flame retardant ACU's in multicam ™ to deploying units. The switch to OCP, formerly known as Scorpion W2, was made on conjunction with Crye Precision, but the Army retained rights to it. With the multicam™, the services would have to pay licensing fees to Crye, as the hold the patent.
It's stupid. But it's saving them money.

I concur.
To the OP: 1 October 2019 is the mandatory possession date for the OCP uniform, which phases out all previously authorized uniform before it (i.e., UCP, and OEFCP aka. Multicam).

I'm a bit curious with these uniform changes. Do each SM get clothing allowance to buy the updated uniforms or will get issued new uniforms from bde or battalion supply. I entered the service when they had left the od green's to woodlands and after I came back from korea I started getting the clothing allowance where I bought a new set a BDU's once a year

SGT Jim Arnold - Active Duty still gets clothing allowance. Reserve and Guard do not.

One would think that one's immediate chain of command would be informing you of what is expected, and by when.
