Is there a way I can limit my sit-ups and still go to BLC (due to an old injury)?

NCOES attendance can happen with a Temp profile and an exception I saw ONE.....in 6 years.
SM had skin cancer removed from his back, had a Temp profile of no exposure to sunlight in the affected area, as no part of the POI required that exposure, the profile in no way limited his physical abilities otherwise he was allowed to attend. This was a SM that was fighting to deploy with his unit the following month. Fighting to do his follow up MED appointments in country by the DIV surgeon vice staying home on Rear D and leaving the unit short...IOW, this was a SM doing everything right, Mission first, Selfless service , dedication, honor ....It was easy to go to bat for him...and it was tough to turn him down..

SPC(P) (Join to see) - Log on to ATTRS look up the course; see what the pre reqs are. You may find the school policies are a roadblock.
Look up the current AR-350-1 reg and or messages that pertain to school attendance on a temp profile. what is available to me a retired guy without CAC access says it’s a NO GO, but another member here posted the regs have changed recently...ok, perhaps,,,, but unless it’s in writing you can cite, it means nothing.
Lastly, any physical limitation as it pertains to a physical task you are required to perform in school is going to be a hard sell for exception.
If it was a local thing no TDY involved and there were otherwise empty seats you might get it approved. BUT it’s a temp profile, and it does affect your ability to perform required tasks ...I don't see the several leaders needed to approve your attendance allocating the seat and TDY funds on an SM in that position.

SFC (Join to see) - Thank you for that insightful response.
Did you having any personal relative experience or subject matter expertise to add to the topic being discussed?
Oh by the way, your advice "You all should do a spell check prior to posting your articles." is not usable as I’m using voice to text most times with a device that has no spell check feature on a mobile platform for this site that has no edit function. Affect and effect often are used interchangeable by the software, funny part is, most don't let it keep them from understanding the intent. But just for you I ran both my posts (BTW they are called posts, not articles commonly) Spell check corrected the its to the proper it’s for me as well as pointing out the proper word should have been affected vice effected ...So thank you for pointing out that. I wish I could remember to go back and check every post I make by voice to text later when at a computer, but alas, I don't.

SFC (Join to see) - Grammar Nazi much? I write for a living. When I'm online? Couldn't give two flips if I'm using proper construction or not. I'm not at work, I'm not at school, and thus, I don't care. In the words of my favorite Drill Sergeant "Lighten up Francis" (Stripes - lol).

You can’t show up with a temp profile, but can get one while there. PT test is a graduation requirement though

Yes you can, you cannot have a temp profile that restricts you on the apft but you can have a profile such as this post states, as long as it does not keep you from performing graduation requirements.

I would also have to believe on your command if they will allow you to go on a profile. Are you meeting standard on the balance of requirements?

A reposted response I made to the same general question some time ago...
"350-1 only tells some of the story... Look up the course you’re interested in, in ATTRS . Look at the prereqs there, look at the requirements there. If you are not excluded by what you see in txt, send an email to the POC listed and ask the direct question, leave no doubt at what you’re asking. Fewer words are better and ask only the one question. Be brief, concise, clear and complete. Wait semi patiently for a response, if you don't get one in 7-10 business days, send the same email again....if you don't get a response inside a week, call, try to "find" the POC already emailed, and thanking them for their time and apologizing for having what must be the wrong email address, as you had sent the question twice.. You want that person or another associate to help, so now is not the time to chastise for not responding to your email.
All that said.... a lot of years sending folks to school, several years running the 1CD schools program ..... SM with temp profiles did not go to resident schools... Not saying it's not possible, just was never the case in a lot of years and thousands sent."
