What moments stand out either comically or not concerning events that happened during training in your particular field?
For me it was CPO who happened to be an amazing free-hand artist. One afternoon he drew an Asian girl standing under a lamp-post motioning to another in our classroom named SSgt Landis. The caption was, "Me love you long time". Winking at Landis. The instructor was amazed by his penchant for art.
One afternoon this CPO told another Petty Office to bite his crank. The guy on the opposite side of the class throw a roll of toilet paper which cruised right out the window. It was a windy day and that roll, rolled and rolled until it was all rolled out. The instructor, A MSgt could not help but laugh.
At Sheppard we had an instructor that referred to overseas girls as 'hammers'. I was perplexed but got the gist of it. I wonder what it means like the term 'spinners'. I guess it is like when I said, "Skyrockets in Flight, Afternoon Delight, what does that mean"? My friend said, "think about it". lol.
It was definitely a different in the military and in some ways, we have regressed in some respects.
