I have the pleasure of being a sponsor for a Soldier that will be competing in our BDE level competition in hopes of continuing on to the "big show". I had never even heard of this contest until now. Does anybody that has knowledge of it or competed in it have any tips to give? My Soldier and I are starting at the ground level of clueless!!

The Best Warrior Competition has been around for a long time. As a sponsor, I offer you the following advice even though it is too late for this year's competition. Take combatives level I, be able to max the APFT, be proficient with the M4, M9, M240, and M2. Practice the Appearance Board, and study the Army Study Guide.
I hope this help and next year you will be better prepared be a sponsor.
