The best leaders set the best example that they can, and make their little corner of the earth the best that it can be. They help you to become all that you can be--in or out of the Army.
If you are a leader, how do you handle the bleeders?

By "bleeders," do you mean leaders who blame others (higher, for example) for problems?

If so, I think the way to handle them is to tactfully let them know that we need to get on with accomplishing the mission. Maybe off-line (privately) remind the leader that blaming others for a problem or a hurdle does not help, and it definitely does not motivate others.

Yes..."Bleeders" are those who constantly require attention, often to the point of diverting time/resources away from the primary mission. They usually spend more time rationalizing blame than getting the job done.
