After being reserved for about 8 months I switched to active. Pay is coming up on the 15th. How early is LES statement available prior to getting paid.

PFC (Join to see) Sometimes LES's are available a week before payday, but take into consideration that mid month LES only shows the amount you got paid, if you want more details, you have to wait for the end of the month

SFC (Join to see) My LES isn't even online as of today. It usually is available a week prior and 3 days prior I actually get paid. Possibly a pay issue but nothing has changed in the system.

PFC (Join to see) My suggestions is, do a pay inquiry and have your S1 take it to finance, unless they allow you to go there, your LES will not show you anything anyway

Checked today around 1300 and still nothing. Going to talk to 1SG about it tomorrow.

I'm looking to enlist in the reserves. How did you transfer to active duty? Was it a hard process/did you have to "fight the system" to go active? I've heard it's very difficult and I shouldn't even bother.

This was switching for training. You need to fulfill your reserve contract before switching to active duty.

I'm not sure about other branches, but in the Navy everything is up to the "needs of the Navy". During times that the navy doesnt need people. it is REALLY hard. However, if the navy needs you, you do not have to complete any contract or anything. They will get you in to active service. I've seen packages get routed and approved in two weeks. On ther other hand, I've seen people's packages NEVER get approved after many tries. They come back with the excuse that they have to finish their contract.
