I'm getting deployed soon and I just finished my associate's degree. I want to continue my education while I'm deployed. What are my options

SGT (Join to see) Great job. I'm sure there are lot's of great colleges, but I KNOW that Northcentral University (NCU) is 100% online and regionally/nationally accredited. They are extremely flexible with military, especially when deployed. Their fee for active duty is never a penny more than what is covered by TA. I STRONGLY encourage you to get as much schooling done BEFORE you get out/retire. It is extremely expensive as a civilian. Vets usually only get 10% off. Good luck, stay safe, and God bless.

SPC Fells,
Congrats! Depends on where you are deploying to, some places have education offices. Most places have internet of course and there are a lot of good online schools out there. Research ones that will offer you what you need for your degree and look up the lists of "degree mills" to avoid. I personally go through AMU.
Start soon because it can take a month or two for all your transcripts and exams to transfer.

There are LOTS of options out there. Many schools allow for all online completion of course work and you can even get schools that are not "for profit". I highly recommend Charter Oak State College out of CT. Very military friendly with accepting military credits as well as CLEPs, DSSTs and other exams.
If your not ready for college classes directly CLEP and DSST as much as you can. Most locations have a testing center and there are tons of free study resources. This will set you up for when you do enroll in a BS/BA.
