Since I reentered active duty after a 2 year break in service I have been able to access AKO and most other systems, but I haven't been able to access my Enterprise email. I've tried a couple of different email address that are listed as helpdesk POCs, but I haven't received a response from either. Does anyone have a POC that they've actually been able to receive a response from?

Have you contacted AKO helpdesk? I think webmail is still using web.mail.mil and @mail.mil emails.

Otherwise, a NEC at your duty station should be able to help.

This isn't new. I've heard of similar issues in the last few years during the transition. Tell the tech you were prior enlisted before the move the mail.mil.

I'll give it a shot. People have been sending me emails to the email address and they aren't getting returned so I think the address is active but I'm just unable to access the account. I'm afraid to see how many emails I'm going to have once I'm finally able to get in there.

CPT (Join to see) - Worst case scenario, I'd ask or check AKO email settings to see about forwarding the mail.mil somewhere you can access it.

Try using web based access at https://web.mail.mil then log in with CAC as normal.

I haven't used the help desk, but do you have your CAC's certificates installed on your computer? I've had to reinstall in order to get access to Enterprise email.

They do have a help desk--not that I found it helpful--but like you I had not been able to get into my email after it switched to the Enterprise system, and that lasted for about 3 years, then one day I just checked on a whim and was able to get in. No idea what changed.
