What are your thoughts on the Urban Carry and/or Magnetic Vehicle Holsters?

I have a smaller version of the Urban Carry, where it doesn't have all of the extra material and noticeable clip that secures via magnet, but the Urban Carry seems very easy. Further I recently purchased Go-Magnets to mount my carry weapon in the vehicle as to have it readily access able when driving. Anyone have experience with either product?

I use Go Magnets to secure a HD shotgun to my bed rails ...Works very well.
I do not transfer my carry weapon to a vehicle holster, as I want it on body at all times.
I do have vehicle dedicated weapons though of the same style and function as what Im carrying. Kydex holsters affixed in place with stainless steel fasteners. I wanted the holster to stay in place no matter the shock to the vehicle from speed bump to roll over..and I wanted it to stay in place no matter the angle of draw I might have to make from an awkward out of place position.

Absolutely right....On the body and tight to your side and not going anywhere (the holster) A well secured weapon on your body just makes you feel that much more at ease. My shotgun is leaning up next to the bed (no children at home).

Two thoughts...
Earth quake, tornado, tree hits your roof..will that weapon remain in the exact same position you left it in? In a tussle, bed moving about, will that weapon remain in the exact same position you left it in? And I say this honestly and without immature intent... If said bed is used for inmate activities, will that weapon remain in the exact same position you left it in? I found out mine did not...cost me a new front sight post...and a mood killing sound of my HD shotgun hitting the concrete floor.
Second... Out of sight means out of mind.. no safe is theft proof... nor hiding place..the idea is to delay theft or in the case of a HD weapon delay the wrong hands from obtaining the weapon before you can.. Consider storing the weapon in an accessible location (some really awesome bedroom furniture being made these days with quick access storage) that is out of sight.

SGM Erik Marquez -It will be a moot point shortly. I am about to remodel my bedroom and redo the closets...Adding built in firearm storage that is hidden....In answer to your question, no my shotgun is not moving from that position unless it has to, my 1911 is right there in reach to start with and R.I.P. rounds inside.....I do get your concern, glad it ended good for you and your wife.....Bet you heard it for awhile...!

I did, she was pissed the HD Shotgun was out of commission for a week....lol and I had to bring out the SPAS-12......

I would prefer not to depend on a little strip of metal keeping my expensive firearm where it is supposed to be.............I am a belted OWB carry guy, high and tight on your body and attached with 1 1/2 inches of leather. With an ankle back-up.

Yeah I ran into that issue with my Ultimate Concealed Carry holster. It works good but prints and moves more than I would have liked. Probably going back to the 3-5 o'clock IWB Carry

What is your ankle backup? I’ve tried a Beretta Model 20. Now I just carry OWB under a sport coat.

When driving, if a it is a shorty distance, I wear a pancake, right back hip and leave my Beretta PX-4 Storm Compact right there. BUT if I am going to be driving an hour or more, I pull it and have a holster that is stuck between the seat and console. The sidearm simply sits in it barrel down on my right side just in front of the seat belt clasp. Both my Truck and my wife's car have bucket type seats and my TransAm is even more wrap around type seats so wearing it for a long drive is bruise city uncomfortable.

Yea I do the same thing. I was referring to driving as more than just a 30 min drive to the store or post.
