It is possible for my husband and I to get on the same deployment cycle?

You could always try to get into the same brigade, but even then you are not guaranteed the same deployment cycles, as you might be in different battalions. The Army Married Couples Program is a great thing for dual military couples, and even though it works most of the time, there is nothing that states that dual military couples MUST be stationed together, much less on the same deployment cycles...I would just be thankful that you're both going to the same location, and a good one at that!

That's very true, I am certainly grateful for the same duty station. Thank you, Sir!

SGT (Join to see) - No worries...I am dual military myself and even though my wife and I were on the same deployment cycle at one point, we were in different locations, with her in Kuwait while I was in Baghdad. Being dual military is not always easy, but if you remain flexible it can work out.

SGT (Join to see) Unless you can get into the same battalion it is pretty difficult. My spouse and I have managed to get deployed simultaneously once in our 17yrs of dual military service. Getting to the base at close to the same time has been difficult enough, let alone same deployment cycle. Best of luck to you and your spouse. Early contact with the gaining commands is always the best chance to get what you want. The earlier the better! This has always worked to improve our assignments.

It has been a long time goal of the American Government to do its best to protect the family line, or branch. With this in mind, I would never send both parents on any assignments at the same time, where we are in a peace keeping role, or war. Sorry if this offends you.
