State issued Gadsden license plates...good or bad?

It seems to be the word around the campfires of people of the “Prepper” persuarion that your “Veteran-ness” should NOT be advertised at all, and that you and all your bugout gear should be as much “It takes a Vet to recognize a Vet” as possible. Out of simple curiousities, Ive been looking for some of that reasoning. This is by no means complete...but it seems to include:

Not flagging yourself as any form of “troublemaker” in the eyes of anyone.

Not flagging yourself to those whom may be in positions to help others as not needing any help (when you may actually have need).

If/when you are in your gathering phase, pick colors that Mr Joe Civilian might pick out. You can avoid bright colors without having anything in camoflauge. Consider the likely differences in overall vibe presented between a civilian who may be rather experienced with things like camping, hiking, backpacking, or even climbing Mt. Everest....and former military of the “Boots on the ground” persuasion. Ok ok I was trying not to say “Grunt” there.

Some might even add to that...retraining your brain to drop all of the “Radio-Comm” lingo (Copy?) as well as all those other military anacronyms and re-civilianize your speaking.

There are always those types of guys who are too proud and/or too full of what was once known as American Freedom who live every day like its July 04.

They fail to consider the potential wisdom in “blending into any environment”.

While "Don't tread on me" originated with the Navy, it is also on the Army's Flag. Drill Sergeants have it on their pin/patch while under the "hat".
