I am currently deployed working the USO at my assigned base getting as many hours as I can and a few guys were talking about a possible waiver for only needing 250 hrs for deployed members. Is there any truth to that?

Here is the memo for you Air Force folks about it

As far as I can tell, it seems a bit vague

It seems like all the branches have vague details when it comes to the volunteer service ribbon. A majority of the branches leaves it up to command discretion as to what lasting impact means. I have seen someone receive this award for 100 hours of service to the USO.

CW2 (Join to see) - I knew a cat in Iraq on Basra that got it after 100 hours.
